Argos®

An enabling technology for many high-resolution spectroscopy applications

As one of the industry’s leading laser development centers, Lockheed Martin is recognized around the world for its robust, reliable and innovative lasers. The Argos single-frequency, continuous-wave optical parametric oscillator is a unique family of tunable lasers designed for high resolution spectroscopy. No other system matches its output power and wavelength tuning range from 1400 nm to 4600 nm. Argos is an enabling technology for many high-resolution spectroscopy applications.

With Argos Orange, the Argos technology extends to provide the same characteristics in the visible spectrum with multi-Watt output in the 600 to 700nm wavelength range. The device’s high resolution, mode-hop free tuning and excellent beam quality make it ideal for atomic physics research. Turnkey operation, and low maintenance cost make it the perfect replacement for legacy dye laser technology.

Perseus

Perseus™ and Perseus-TS™ pulsed fiber lasers

Short pulse, high pulse energy over a wide repetition rate range

The Perseus™ is a family of 1.54 micron, high-power, pulsed fiber lasers that generates short pulses (2-6 ns) over a wide range of repetition rates (20-450 kHz). Up to 4W of average power and 60 μJ of pulse energy are available in a fiber output with M2 < 1.3. The lightweight, environmentally hardened package is suited for deployment in ground or aerial vehicle sensors. The compact Perseus-TS™ has been specially designed for integration into LIDAR systems.

Telesto

Telesto™ One Micron Pulsed Fiber Lasers

Short pulse, high pulse energy over a wide repetition rate range

The Telesto is a high-power, polarized, pulsed fiber laser that generates short pulses (3-5 ns) over a wide range of repetition rates (20-750 kHz). Up to 4W of average power and 60 μJ of pulse energy are available from a fiber output with M2 < 1.5. The lightweight, environmentally hardened package is suited for deployment in ground or aerial vehicle sensors.
